Realogy promotes two new senior executives

Dea Benson promoted to SVP; Tim Gustavon takes over as chief accounting officer

Realogy Holdings (RLGY) announced the promotions of two of its own to senior executive positions.

Realogy promoted Dea Benson to the newly created position of senior vice president of enterprise risk management. Additionally, the company promoted Tim Gustavson to succeed Benson as the company’s senior vice president, chief accounting officer and controller.

In her new role, Benson (pictured above) will work with Realogy’s executive leadership committee and board of directors to “enhance Realogy's existing Enterprise Risk Management function to be a key driver of managing the most significant risks impacting the company's present and future growth,” Realogy said in a release.

Benson joined Realogy as chief accounting officer and controller in 2008.

"For the past two years, Dea Benson has spearheaded the company's Enterprise Risk Management process, and her strong leadership in this regard has proven effective in helping our executive leadership committee and our board of directors continue to shape Realogy's risk management efforts," said Richard Smith, Realogy's chairman, chief executive officer and president.

"Dea's move to the Enterprise Risk Management role on a full-time basis underscores the company's commitment to our ERM program," Smith added.

In his new role, Gustavson (pictured right) will oversee all corporate accounting and financial reporting functions, as well as the shared services, treasury, corporate tax and insurance departments.

Additionally, Gustavson will work closely with the audit committee of the Realogy board of directors, the company said.Tim Gustavson

Prior to his promotion, Gustavson served as Realogy's assistant corporate controller and vice president of finance for the last six years, and for the two prior years as vice president of external reporting. Before joining Realogy, Gustavson spent 16 years in public accounting with the KPMG audit practice.

"Tim Gustavson has excelled as our assistant corporate controller and vice president of finance for the past nine years, and we are fortunate to have someone of his caliber ready to step in and lead the accounting function across Realogy and its business units," said Anthony Hull, Realogy's chief financial officer.
