Identical twins match everything…including their houses

Twins find perfect homes in Galveston

Identical twins Jana and Dana Smidt have not only shared similar looks throughout life but also attended the same college and chose similar career paths. And after a long search for the perfect home, the 40-year-old identical twin sisters are now the owners of identical twin bungalows next door to one another on Galveston's east end. Per Houston Chronicle:

After weeks of searching without luck, Jana finally found the perfect bungalow in early summer. There was only one catch: Schwenk had it listed as a matching set with an identical home next door and only wanted to sell the pair together.

The two bungalows are among the island's 10 to 12 remaining Sears Craftsman houses, Schwenk said, which were sold as kits from about 1910 to 1940, He thinks these are the only two that still occupy one lot together.

The solution: a package deal with Dana for $200,000, which put the identical twins in identical homes all of 6 feet apart.
