a la mode announced the release of Mercury Mobile, a new iPhone and iPad app that lets appraisers respond to Mercury Network orders instantly, cutting down on turnaround time for appraisals.

With the new app appraisers can immediately accept, negotiate or decline a Mercury Network client order while they are in the field, possibly cutting out hours or days from their normal response time.

Mercury Network powers more than 20,000 appraisal order a day and is used by more than 600 lenders and appraisal management companies.

Combined with a la mode's mobile appraisal inspection and sketching product — Total for Mobile — the appraiser can handle the entire order-to-inspection process on an iPad.

An Android version of the app will be available soon, the company said.
