Cobalt Mortgage opened its newest branch in Silverdale, Wash.

Industry veteran Walt Hannawacker will lead the location, bringing nearly three decades of experience to the role.

"Thanks to Silverdale's solid foundation of military, health services and retail employees, we believe the local economy is poised for greater economic opportunities,” said Dave Bochsler, a national sales executive for Cobalt.

The mortgage firm plans to continue its expansion eastward during the next several years, with plans to eventually have a presence in every U.S. state.
