The company is leveraging its recent acquisition of Interthinx, an affiliate of First American Financial Corp., to provide servicing quality control and other loan review services for its clients.
“As regulation and complexity increase, servicers are looking for ways to not only remain compliant, but be able to demonstrate compliance controls and testing to regulators. Our comprehensive solution takes subjectivity out of the reviews and gives servicers the ability to act on findings and make their operation better,” Wall said.
First American has responded to increased third-party regulations by making fundamental changes in its organizational structure and has refocused its entire culture toward a defect-free process and customer experience.
“We’ve given a renewed look at all of our assets, such as processes, technology and analytics, and found creative ways to re-deploy and automate,” Wall said.

Kevin Wall serves as president of First American Mortgage Solutions, where he is responsible for strengthening the company’s alignment with national customers, and strategically positioning the company to offer remarkable and relevant solutions for the industry.
Prior to First American, Wall served as an executive vice president for Solutionstar, a wholly owned subsidiary of Nationstar, where he focused on building ancillary services for the firm. Prior to that, Wall was senior vice president of business and information services at CoreLogic.
During his career, Wall has held marketing, business line operations and portfolio management and retention positions of increasing responsibility at Norwest Financial, Wells Fargo Financial, Centex Home Equity, Saxon Mortgage and Morgan Stanley.
Eric Friedman serves as chief operating officer for the default services segment of First American Mortgage Solutions. As chief operating officer, Friedman is responsible for all areas within the company’s servicing segment, (both performing and non-performing), including new product development, compliance, client relations management and technology.
Prior to joining First American, Friedman served as the senior vice president default servicing manager for OneWest Bank, formerly Indymac Federal Bank. Friedman also spent nine years at Fannie Mae where he served in a variety of roles.
Christos Bettios, senior vice president, product development for First American Mortgage Solutions, has over 25 years of experience in product strategy, development and technology distribution, and over 10 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Bettios brings industry expertise in both loan origination and loan servicing and has worked directly with lenders on product and implementation strategies.
Prior to First American, Bettios held senior management positions with Fannie Mae, Canopy International, and AT&T solutions. Bettios is an active member of the MISMO community and is a frequent speaker on the subject of electronic mortgage technologies at industry events.
