Scrutiny around REO properties is at an all-time high. Neighborhoods, cities and local municipalities are highly focused on removing blight from their areas, and investors need partners who can deliver consistent, secure solutions.
Enter Cyprexx, the national full-service default provider.
The company invented and patented a new installation system for the clear window-boarding product, InvisiBoard, to improve the look and security of real estate owned properties. But it also developed innovative securing options to give properties better curb appeal.
“When the need arose to provide clear boarding to some of our clients, we realized that the other offerings utilized the traditional crossbeam installation method to secure plywood,” said Ronnie Ory, Cyprexx founder and chairman of the board of directors.
“Through research and trial we established several new securing options, depending on the window and house, to secure the polycarbonate covering to the property without the use of crossbeams.
“We saw an opportunity to improve the offering for polycarbonate window covering (clear boarding),” he said.
By removing the crossbeam as the primary installation method, Cyprexx’s clear-boarded window cover presents a cleaner view of the property from the street while still providing additional security to these properties.
“Clear boarding is one way that Cyprexx — through our InvisiBoard brand — is making strides to improve the look of real estate owned properties and assist our investor partners with not only curb appeal but also to improve security at these houses,” Ory said.
In addition to improved security, clear boarding allows light to enter the homes so that prospective buyers, agents, vendors and inspectors are not walking through unlit properties, providing a greater degree of safety.
InvisiBoard is just the latest innovation from Cyprexx, which deploys vendors across the country to provide property preservation, inspection, repairs, tenant occupied and vacant property registration services.
Cyprexx has access to a national network of vendors — including a preferred vendor network — giving the company a wide range and location of vendors to choose from as needed.
The company is also offering a door-securing product that utilizes the existing door but places increased security around the striker plate,
Cyprexx was founded in Florida in 1996 and grew into a national preservation provider by 2002. The founders of the family-owned and operated company have an extensive background in homebuilding and repairs, giving them a core competency in rehabilitating properties.
The company is now a full-service default and REO field services provider, serving residential mortgage lenders, investors, brokers and asset management firms.
The company has refined its processes and procedures to manage vendors through all phases of a project, and provides constant updates on job status through a customized web portal.
Cyprexx simplifies the property preservation and maintenance coordination process with a customer-centric account approach that assigns a management team to each client.
Ronnie Ory founded Cyprexx Services LLC along with his wife, Linda, and son Brett, and has been in the homebuilding business since 1979.
He is chairman of the board of directors and owner of Cyprexx.
Ory, a Florida licensed general contractor, entered the field services industry repairing REO residential properties in Central Florida in 1990.
During the mid-1990s the business model changed focus to exclusively manage and service REO properties. Today, Cyprexx is one of the largest national property preservation companies offering a full suite of default services, including inspections, preservation, repairs, VPR and utility services.
In November of 2013, Ory and son RJ invented and introduced a new and innovative installation process for clear boarding properties called InvisiBoard .
This new patented installation method eliminates the REO stigma that plywood board-ups present for vacant properties, as well as increasing the security of those properties and improving neighborhood esthetics.
Ory is a member of REOMAC, the Mortgage Bankers Association and the Brandon Chamber of Commerce.
