Agency MBS gross purchases hit $18.9 billion: NY Fed

Gross purchases of agency mortgage-backed securities totaled $18.9 billion from Feb. 28 through March 6, said the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.
Sales -- dollar rolls -- of agency MBS totaled $600 million for the same time frame. While net purchases of the mortgage bonds accounted for $18.3 billion.
