On February 4, 2013, Susan R. McFarland, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Fannie Mae (formally, the Federal National Mortgage Association), notified the company that she will retire from the company after a transition period that will begin on the effective date of the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer by our Board of Directors and end no later than June 30, 2013.
