FICO plans to acquire Adeptra, a firm that offers cloud-based customer engagement systems, in a move that is expected to enhance FICO's ability to communicate with customers and resolve issues related to fraud and loss mitigation through voice, SMS, mobile applications, e-mail and other channels.
The acquisition will be finalized next month.
"With Adeptra's technology and FICO's decision management applications, you can seamlessly turn decisions into actions that improve fraud protection, loss mitigation and collections, while improving customer service," wrote Will Lansing, CEO of FICO.
The two firms formed a relationship in 2002, with FICO functioning as Adeptra's reseller. FICO claims several international banks have already used FICO's Falcon Fraud Manager with Adeptra solutions to cut down on fraud losses.
