California home prices recently increased the most in 33 years as a result of strong sales growth in higher-priced markets and a continued housing supply shortage, the California Association of Realtors claims in a new report.

Improving confidence when it comes to home sales and housing market conditions prompted homebuilders to issue a more favorable forecast in June. As a result, builder stocks jumped on Wall Street Monday, injecting builders with a dose of optimism.
