Williston Financial Group buys title company

Williston Financial Group, the parent company of WFG National Title Insurance Company, acquired ITC Holdings, the parent company of Investors Title Company, on Monday in California.

The acquisition is a continued expansion of the company’s footprint in the southern California area. Recently, Williston also opened commercial real estate offices in Irvine and Campbell, Calif.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

WFG is a full service provider of title insurance and real estate settlement services for lenders, commercial, and residential transactions in 41 states.

President and CEO Patrick Stone of WFG said the acquisition is an important step in moving forward with the company’s business plan.

“By teaming with an established and reputable operation already in place, we have hit the ground running and grown our presence in a critical market,” he said.

Stone added, “More important, the exceptional management and staff in place in the new offices ensure that WFG will maintain its core philosophy of serving the customer.”

President Chris White of ITC said WFG’s new offices are well-placed with this transaction.

“The team here is well known and respected in this market and committed to serving the client on the client’s terms,” he said.
