Urban Land Institute appoints housing director

The Urban Land Institute named Lynn Ross executive director of the ULI Terwilliger Center for Housing where she’ll cultivate the strategic direction of the center and implementation of it’s work program.

Ross replaced Pamela Patenaude, who was recently tapped as director of the Bipartisan Policy Center‘s new housing commission.

The Terwilliger Center, established in 2007, seeks to further the development of mixed-income, mixed-use communities and affordable housing.

Most recently, Ross was chief operating officer for the National Housing Conference and Center for Housing Policy in Washington.

During her service at NHC and CHP between 2007 and 2011, Ross spearheaded numerous initiatives, including the development and launch of the latter’s housing research and advisory service and planning and executing 18 successful national symposia.

“At a time when housing policy and practice are at unprecedented crossroads, I am thrilled to join ULI to help ensure housing choice and affordability in mixed-income, mixed-use communities across the country,” said Ross.
