Stonegate Mortgage Corporation hired Erik Sorensen as senior vice president of Capital Markets.

Sorensen will report directly to Dan Bettenburg, president of Stongate Mortgage, and will be responsible for leading the company’s secondary marketing group.

Previously, Sorensen worked for Sorensen Consulting where he focused on helping lenders improve their secondary marketing functions. 

Additionally, Sorensen has held a number of executive roles during his 25 year tenure at Irwin Financial Corporation, including senior vice president of Capital Markets and Corporate Development at Irwin Home Equity. 

“With his extensive experience on the capital markets side of residential real estate, Erik will help our team by improving our secondary marketing business,” Bettenburg said.

He added, “This is an important part of our growth strategy and ensuring the continued success of our business.”
