Report: Goldman Sachs CEO may step down by summer

Lloyd Blankfein, chief executive of Goldman Sachs, could leave his position as early as this summer, with the company’s chief operating officer the frontrunner to replace him, according to a report from Fortune.

Katie Brenner writes that it’s still uncertain whether Blankfein wants to step down from the post he assumed in June 2006.
