Refinancing activity expected to peak on capacity worries

Investors in mortgage bonds do not see the U.S. refinancing boom as having significant momentum left, Bloomberg news said Friday.

The report suggests refinancing efforts spearheaded by government initiatives to help more homeowners refinance their mortgages have been constrained by limited staffing numbers at the banks and falling competition.

The news agency suggested it will take lenders adding capacity into the system to spur along refinancing activity.
