Radian Group announced two key executive appointments this week. The mortgage insurer named Derek Brummer executive vice president and chief risk officer, while Scott Theobald is the new VP of lender and structured products.

In his new role, Brummer will be in charge of all aspects of the credit-risk management strategy and framework, as well as evaluating credit policy.

Brummer joined Radian in 2002, serving as chief risk officer and general counsel for Radian Asset since 2008. 

Additionally, Theobald came to Radian in 1997. In his newly created role, Theobald will be responsible for product development and overseeing loss management.
