Topeka’s foreclosure rate edged up slightly in December, but was lower than the rate a year before.
About 4.71 percent of current mortgage loans were more than 90 days late in the Topeka area in December, and 1.51 percent were in the foreclosure process, according to a report from CoreLogic. CoreLogic tracks approximately 85 percent of mortgages, so the actual foreclosure rate may be slightly different.
