Keller Williams partners with Placester to develop more tools for agents

Will co-develop business solution eEdge

Real estate franchise Keller Williams announced that it is entering into an "innovation partnership" with Placester, a real estate website and marketing platform, to co-develop the next version of its agent business solution, eEdge.

The new platform is the next evolution of eEdge, Keller Williams’ lead-to-close agent business solution launched in 2011, the companies said in a release.

“We’re excited to announce a major joint endeavor with Placester, which will be matching their technical might with our vision,” said Chris Heller, CEO, Keller Williams.

“Five years ago, we pioneered and carved out an entirely new industry space with eEdge,” Heller said. “Now we’re disrupting ourselves again in the best interests of our agents.”

According to the companies, the eEdge program’s tools and services will include lead management, contact management, a marketing library and a paperless transaction system, along with others to be announced.

Driven by Keller Williams’ “innovative” vision, the partnership will utilize Placester’s infrastructure and its team of software architects and engineers, the companies said.

To be available for the exclusive use of Keller Williams’ agents, the new platform is slated for beta testing in the fourth quarter, the companies said.

Although its still unnamed, the platform will serve agents throughout the entire real estate circulation transaction as well offer scalability from the needs of new agents to seasoned MEGA agents.

“The development of our next agent business solution is fueled entirely from data-driven insights drawn from our agents and consumers,” said Josh Team, CIO, Keller Williams.

“Working closely with Placester, we are building a suite of tools to empower our agents to fill the gaps in today’s consumer experience when purchasing or selling a home,” said Team.

"From day one, the vision for Placester was to create an operating system for the real estate industry that would be agile and evolve with the changing needs of agents and the demands of home buyers and sellers," said Matt Barba, CEO and co-founder of Placester. "We're excited to partner with Keller Williams to deliver a platform that will empower their agents to thrive in the digital age."

This partnership with Placester is not the first for Keller Williams.

Last year, the companies announced that Placester will provide websites and marketing tools to the Keller Williams’ 123,000 real estate associates.

According to the companies, the new websites will roll out in phases starting in March.
