Morrison & Foerster hires another legal eagle for its real estate finance team

Law firm Morrison & Foerster out of New York hired Tushna Gamadia as of counsel, a role in which she will deal with clients who engage in real estate financings, commercial mortgage-backed securities deals, syndicated loans and private equity transactions.

The firm says Gamadia arrives on the heels of veteran real estate finance lawyer Lawrence Ceriello, who signed on as partner last month.

Both attorneys previously worked together at Nixon Peabody.

“Tushna brings a broad range of complex deal experience that enhances our robust financing capabilities, especially on the CMBS side. Her experience working with Larry Ceriello will no doubt bring synergies to our team and add value to our clients,” said Mark Edelstein, chair of MoFo’s Real Estate Finance and Distressed Real Estate practices.

“Our group has been on the front lines in many of the biggest-ticket commercial real estate financings announced so far this year and Tushna’s well-rounded practice is a great asset.”

Gamadia previously worked at Citigroup Global Capital Markets and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP. She is a graduate of Cornell Law School and Middlebury College.
