Missouri Bill to abolish foreclosure mediation nears passage

A piece of legislation designed to abolish mandatory foreclosure mediation in St. Louis and St. Louis County is close to passing the Missouri legislature, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

The publication says the bill would end a system in which homeowners can automatically push for a final, face-to-face meeting with their lender and a mediator before a home is seized through foreclosure.
