Minnesota gets $1 million cut in mortgage servicing settlement

The Minnesota Department of Commerce says the state will pull in $1 million in just penalties from the $25 billion national mortgage servicing settlement, according to the Minneapolis-based NBC affiliate, KARE 11.

Money collected from major mortgage servicers will be deposited in Minnesota’s general fund, the news agency said.
