Mayer Brown hired Lawrence Berkovich to serve as a partner in the Banking & Finance group.

Berkovich will use his expertise to concentrate his practice on complex structured finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on broadly syndicated and middle-market collateralized loan obligations; both first mortgage and mezzanine commercial real estate loan securitizations and rated and unrated leveraged loan and commercial real estate loan warehouse facilities.

In the CLO space, he has served as a principal outside counsel to a major investment bank in the development of its CLO and warehousing platform.
