In a recent editorial by the Chicago Tribune, Illinois finally is taking action to clear the vast backlog of foreclosed homes that has clogged its court system and impeded the real estate recovery, but it’s a case of two steps forward, one step back.
Lawmakers recently voted to establish a fast track to push at least some abandoned homes through the state’s judicial gauntlet in an estimated 90 to 100 days.
