May foreclosure filings in southeast Wisconsin dropped 45% from a year earlier, another sign of a recovering housing market.
Court records show there were 548 mortgage foreclosure filings in Kenosha, Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Walworth, Washington and Waukesha counties last month, compared with 996 in May 2012.
