Equifax greenlights DocMagic eSign for specific IRS requests

Loan document preparation firm DocMagic Inc. says Equifax approved the company as an official eSign provider for the electronic submission of IRS 4506-T forms.

The move means all DocMagic users can place their IRS 4506-T orders with Equifax and use DocMagic’s e-sign technology to sign up electronically, removing undue burdens and speeding up processing times.

“The IRS has very strict requirements for accepting these orders electronically,” said Melanie Feliciano, chief legal officer for DocMagic. “Our eSign product meets these requirements and the team at Equifax has reviewed our product and confirmed that. Now, all DocMagic’s customers can place their orders for IRS 4506-T with Equifax and use DocMagic’s eSign technology to sign them electronically.”

The IRS started accepting electronic signatures on Jan. 7, but enforced a series of strict requirements that must be met.
