Ellie Mae adds Robbins as new tech exec

Mortgage tech provider Ellie Mae (ELLI) hired David Robbins to serve as its chief information officer, a newly created position.

The Pleasanton, Calif.-based company said Robbins will oversee its data center operations and its software service business model.

Robbins joins Ellie Mae after he served as chief technology officer of NetApp from 2008 to 2011.

“David’s expertise will enable him to fast-track our (information technology) architecture and infrastructure transformations to accommodate the significant growth we are experiencing,” Ellie Mae COO Jonathan Corr said in a release.

The company named Corr its COO in November, filling the position left vacant for two years.

Ellie Mae’s third quarter earnings fell to $1 million from $1.8 million in the year-ago quarter.
