Carrington Mortgage Services hired Lynn Halstead as vice president of its wholesale lending operation.
The mortgage lending division of the private equity firm originates home loans in 40 states and in Washington, D.C. Last year, Carrington expanded into wholesale after acquiring American Homes Equity Corp. assets.
Halstead was previously a senior executive of national lending at Option One Mortgage, where she helped grow production to $7 billion. She also managed wholesale and retail lending at AMRESCO Residential Mortgage.
“I am excited to join Carrington Mortgage Services, and am looking forward to working with the team to build a best-in-class origination platform,” Halstead said.
