Federal Reserve chairman Ben Bernanke is one of many U.S. borrowers who took advantage of low interest rates last year.
CNNMoney says Bernanke refinanced his own 30-year mortgage at a rate of 4.25% back in 2011.
Today, the same 30-year mortgage rate is hovering well below 4%.
