Parvesh Sahi has served as vice president of business development at Ellie Mae since 2011 and is responsible for the development of the company’s partner, investor and government relations within the corporate strategy organization.
Sahi joined Ellie Mae to help bring an integrated and automated compliance experience to Encompass customers following the acquisition of the Mavent compliance engine. He has evolved the business development organization to help execute on Ellie Mae’s vision of automating everything that is automatable in the mortgage industry. He has focused on technology and secondary market partner relationships and connectivity to streamline the mortgage origination process and experience for Ellie Mae customers and partners.
Prior to joining Ellie Mae, Sahi helped grow ComplianceEase and Questoft’s organization through his sales, product and business development leadership. He participates in several Bay Area technology and real estate groups to foster a dialogue about the benefits of disruptive mortgage technology.
WHAT IS ONE THING YOU HAD TO OVERCOME TO SUCCEED IN THIS INDUSTRY?
Prior to the 2008 mortgage crash, I was working to promote the need for compliance. I believed in it, but it was before the industry understood how a compliance solution could help protect their business. Now compliance is king and at Ellie Mae I am able to leverage the knowledge of the space and the lesson learned of committing to evangelizing solutions the industry will eventually benefit from.
