Mortgage company to sponsor TV show for veteran housing

Check out Designing Spaces, Military Makeover

A mortgage company announced that it will be a sponsor on a TV show airing on Lifetime in February and March.

Carrington Mortgage Services will be sponsoring Designing Spaces, Military Makeover. The show honors the family of Purple Heart recipient, Technical Sergeant Kevin Parke, of Crestview Florida, who was selected for a Military Makeover after a nation-wide search. The Purple Heart is awarded to soldiers injured while serving in the U.S. military.

Sgt. Parke and his family outgrew their home in Crestview with four boys, one girl, and one on the way.

Sergeant Parke is the true definition on an American hero, according to a release from Carrington Mortgage services. After entering the Air Force in 2003, he served two deployments in Afghanistan, where he survived three separate improvised explosive device detonations, and yet, despite suffering injuries, he never abandoned his team.

The family will now move to a newly renovated home. The grand unveiling of the home featuring the Parkes and several others including Carrington Executive Vice President Ray Brousseau, will air as a three-part series on Lifetime starting February 2016.

“We are thrilled to welcome the Parke family to their new home,” said Ray Brousseau, Executive Vice President of Carrington Mortgage Services’ Mortgage Lending Division. “As staunch supporters of the Veteran community through our company’s Carrington Charitable Foundation, we embrace any opportunity to help our heroes and the mission to make their lives better. Whether by excelling in offering home loan programs for Veterans, or participating in segments like Military Makeover, our company is dedicated to giving our troops and their families a home they deserve.”

Designing Spaces, Military Makeover is a mini-series dedicated to giving back to members of the military and their families. With the help of decorators, designers, landscapers, and other home renovation experts, retired U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Lee Ermey helps transform the homes of military families across the country.

The Designing Spaces Military Makeover series featuring the Parke family will air on Lifetime Network at 7 AM ET on the following dates:

  • Show one- February 25th (originally aired February 18th)
  • Show two-March third (re-air March 10th)
  • Show three-March 17th (re-air March 24th)
