The Mortgage Bankers Association has trained more than 400 real estate finance professionals through its Future Leaders Program since 1996. This week at the MBA's Annual Convention and Expo, 34 residential mortgage finance professionals joined that number in a graduation ceremony that highlighted their accomplishments. 

The program delivers a comprehensive leadership training experience for selected participants through three sessions offered throughout the year. These hands-on sessions are geared toward customized assessment of leadership skills and their strategic application; business analysis, and problem solving and experiential learning through collaboration, networking and peer group interaction.  

"The Future Leaders program is dedicated to identifying and cultivating the next generation of industry leaders. These folks are the future of our industry and have a unique opportunity to be major contributors in shaping that future,” said MBA Chairman, Bill Emerson.

For the second year, the Future Leaders program included professionals who completed a program specific to commercial/multifamily real estate finance. This year 23 commercial Future Leaders graduated.
