A Detroit-area title company is offering what its president says is the area’s first mobile closing vehicle, which brings the closing process to the client instead of the other way around. While mobile mortgage closings are nothing new, this is pretty inventive

According to a report from hometownlife.com (click to see photo), Reputation First Title Agency of Livonia, Mich. now has a branded mobile closing unit that will travel to the borrower's preferred location for the closing of home purchase.

The vehicle is outfitted with wireless internet, a copy and fax machine, a wooden floor and a light-up mini-bar, replete with champagne if a borrower so desires to get their post-closing celebratory drink on.

“After all, purchasing your home is likely the most expensive and important investment a family will ever make,” Reputattion First’s president, Kim Tortora told hometownlife.com. “Consumers pay for title insurance. They ultimately pay – they have the right to choose.”
