HomeStar Companies, which includes HomeStar Property Solutions, HomeStar Property Claims and HomeStar Property Management, has named Steve Hozie as its new chief financial officer.

In his new role, Hozie will have oversight of the company’s financial matters, including accounting, treasury, taxes, and financial planning and analysis.

"Steve's vast experience and financial expertise make him an invaluable asset to HomeStar as our company grows," said Michael Breese, president and chief executive officer of HomeStar Companies.

Hozie joins HomeStar from Wingspan Portfolio Advisors, where he served as senior vice president of strategic financial planning. While at Wingspan, Hozie started and managed a loan originations division and was also responsible for pricing all of the company's financial product offerings.

Earlier in his career, Hozie served as the chief financial officer for American Home Mortgage Servicing, American Home Mortgage Investment Corp., and Fleet Mortgage Group.
