The new Housing & Urban Development secretary will be keynoting the Bipartisan Policy Center’s 2014 Housing Summit, Housing America’s Future: New Directions for National Policy.

Julián Castro was sworn in as the 16th HUD secretary on July 28, 2014, and he will headline the Washington summit.

On September 15 and 16, hundreds of private-sector experts, elected officials, scholars, and industry leaders will gather in Washington, DC to discuss and debate America’s housing policy.

HousingWire will be in attendance as the BPC’s trade media partner.

As Secretary, Castro's focus is ensuring that HUD is a transparent, efficient and effective champion for the people it serves. Utilizing an evidence-based management style, he has charged the Department with one goal: giving every person, regardless of their station in life, new opportunities to thrive.
