National Tax Search announces company expansion

Chicago-based company to add 25 new employees

National Tax Search, a Chicago-based provider of property tax management and flood zone determination services, is expanding its operations. The company announced an effort to hire 25 additional employees by the end of the second quarter of 2014.

NTS also plans to nearly double the office space of its headquarters. The company says the expansion is necessary due to the continued growth in tax outsourcing services and early projections of flood determination services.

NTS is also restructuring its management with the recent shift of Tim Lathrop to executive vice president and the addition of Jan Mortensen as chief operating officer. Lathrop will now be responsible for overseeing strategic business development, marketing initiatives and client relations for NTS. Mortensen will focus on the continued development of NTS operations, building process design and improving quality management.

This expansion marks the second large expansion for the company in the last two years. In 2013, NTS added 50 new jobs and expanded office space by 50%. “2013 brought substantial growth to NTS in the number of new customers we serve and the volume of assets that were added to the system,” said CEO Lori Eshoo. “With the restructuring and the investment in additional staff, we are maintaining a strong commitment to provide our clients with the best service for 2014 and beyond.”
