US Senators roll out plan to replace Fannie, Freddie
A group of U.S. Senators from both sides of the aisle plan to roll out a bill Tuesday, outlining a strategy to replace Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac with a new government reinsurer, Bloomberg reports.
The bill proposed by Sens. Bob Corker, R-Tenn., and Mark Warner, D-Va., will be introduced at a news conference this afternoon.
